Harvesting Honey

Harvesting Honey

When you have the opportunity to taste a single flower type of honey, you don’t buy any other kind, like the ones that are made from different origins and countries. Depending of the kind of recipes we’re going to make, we won’t use the same kind of honey. It can make a difference between a good course and an excellent one.

This some pictures of friends of mine harvesting honey in South of France.

The Amber Brewery

The Amber Brewery

It’s by a very nice sunny polish day that my wife and I went to visit a quite small and independent family run brewery – Browar Amber. As a beer addict, not as a photographer. The brewery is located outside Tricity, but not so far. In the countryside, by a narrow road, here it is. You can’t miss it. You can even smell it.

Giuseppe – Vegan Sorbet at its Best

Giuseppe – Vegan Sorbet at its Best

Until this year, I used to buy my sorbet for my restaurant from Giuseppe, an Italian born who now live in Tricity. He used to make what was may be the best sorbet in Europe. He was creative and eager to propose great sorbet.

Auschwitz-Birkenau

Auschwitz-Birkenau

I presume we all know what happened during WWII, we know what the nazi did to millions of people. We saw that on TV, we read that on books, we listened to it hundreds of time in our life. We know. But going there and actually seeing the whole place, listening to what they did is something really intense. We just leave the place wondering how men could have done that.

Hotel Mera in Sopot

Hotel Mera in Sopot

Some quick pictures of a brand new hotel here in Sopot. It opened just few months ago and is located between Sopot and Gdańsk Przymorze, very close to the beach (just 2 minutes walk by crossing the pedestrian line), totally covered by wood, with a bar, a brasserie and a restaurant, a SPA, and a swimming pool on the roof.

GPEC – Elektrociepłownia Matarnia

GPEC – Elektrociepłownia Matarnia

It’s located in Gdańsk Morena, a small part of the town, on the road to the airport. This facility was previously using pulverized coal but all that was replaced by natural gas in order to reduce the amount of toxic and dangerous emissions into the environment.
